As many of us are working from home full time for the first time, we’re quickly discovering that our at-home setups don’t work for us the same way our offices do. Perhaps you’re feeling pain in your neck or shoulders. Perhaps your low back is more achy than before. Our staff of very experienced physical therapists are experts in the field of movement and posture and are now offering home office ergonomic assessments for both individuals and businesses. Business assessments include providing remote evaluation to all interested employees over 1-2 weeks including recommendations for adjustments and equipment.
Initial ergonomic consultation by a licensed physical therapist will include client history, postural education, workstation setup analysis, education about common types and locations of stress and strain, education about behavioral changes to avoid tissue injury. The therapist will give suggestions for modifications, additional equipment, and/or exercises that can help bring balance to your new “stay at home” workflow.
